SHOOT FOR THE CURE hosts events to raise funds for cystic fibrosis research. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation that understands the challenges that patients face because of this disease.

Mission Statement

Our organization strives to lift the fundraising burden from the shoulders of families and patients with cystic fibrosis. We also aim to raise awareness of cystic fibrosis, as well as alleviate the suffering, advance the quality of life, and be sensitive to the needs of these patients in Alaska.

What is Cystic Fibrosis?

Cystic Fibrosis is a progressive genetic disorder. People with this disease experience a build-up of thick sticky mucus that plugs up tubes, ducts, and passageways. This causes a variety of unpleasant symptoms. Complications of cystic fibrosis include severe damage to the lungs, pancreas, and other organs.

One of the major ways we collect funds to support our advocacy is by hosting a sporting clay event and banquets. Help us raise money for our cause by signing up for our event or participating as a volunteer.
